LONGBOARDS
Handmade Custom Longboards - Made in Cornwall
Cord's longboards are well-built, hand-shaped logs still inspired by the original designs that came out of the Cord factory in Caloundra on Australia’s Sunshine Coast in 1965 and designed to help you soul arch and noseride to your heart's content. The Classic traces directly back to the template the “Hot Generation” shaped in Caloundra, Australia: with the wide point set back, a rolled belly vee toward the fin and old-style 50/50 rails to give a lovely rolling transition between turns, while the narrow nose makes turning easier and the single nose concave lets it hold high in the pocket for serious hang time. It was made for long, clean pointbreak waves and comes into its own in surf up to 4ft. The Kingswood is our old-faithful noserider, born from the long right-hand points of Noosa, Australia and happiest in small, clean waves up to 3ft — take off, pick your line, walk to the nose and stay there.
These single-fin logs suit surfers of every level, from first-time longboarders to seasoned loggers with established style. They are made for the clean, peeling, small-wave days that we sometimes get around our St Agnes home, inspired by the waves and surfing style of the Australian points where the designs were born. Each longboard is hand-built to order over 4–6 weeks in sizes from 9'2" to 9'8", finished with a single fin or fin box, and with additional options including redwood or triple stringers, volan glass patches, and resin tints.
