TWIN FINS
Custom Twin Fin Surfboards - Shaped in Cornwall
Cord's twin fins run from the classic fish to modern channel-bottom pintails, every one hand-shaped at our St Agnes factory in Cornwall. The Flying Vee is shaper Markie Lascelles' original swallow-tail fish: a wide plan shape, flat rocker and a deep spiral vee between the fins make it a fast, playful summer cruiser that still flies in waves up to 6ft. The Humbucker pushes the fish further - a snub-nosed, high volume shape with a split channel that paddles into almost anything and has become Markie's go-to in 6ft-plus barrels. The Ark, our best-seller, is a four-channel twin-fin pintail designed with Australian charger Noah Lane for speed, drive and versatility in 3–6ft waves, and it now has a swallow-tail sibling, The Otter. When it turns bigger and hollower, the Step-Ark carries the same concept into overhead barrels — developed for Irish slabs and proven up to 12ft.
Twin fins suit surfers chasing speed and flow, from those wanting an easy-paddling step down off a longboard to experienced surfers who love a looser, skatey feel. They cover everything from small, mushy Cornish beach breaks to reeling points and hollow reef slabs - the kind of waves Noah Lane and Markie ride the Ark or Otter on in Ireland or Indonesia.
Each board is hand-built to order over 4–6 weeks with a range of stringer options, Futures boxes or FCS to take keel or upright twin fins (or they can have glass-on fins), and with finishes from clear gloss to resin tints, and with the option of volan glass patches.
