SHORTBOARDS
High-Performance Shortboards - Handmade in Cornwall
Cord shortboards are built for speed and high-performance surfing, combining the right dimensions, volume, foil, and rocker with proven plan shapes and fin setups. The Swordfish is our sharpest tool: developed with Noah Lane for a surf trip to the Maldives, its square-cut swallow tail, forward wide point and fluted tail channels make tight turns, fast carves and airs possible in waves up to 6ft. For surfers who want performance with extra paddle power and maneuverability, the twin-fin Flying Vee and high-volume Humbucker fish keep speed flowing across flatter sections, while the channel-bottom Ark pintail or Otter swallowtail handle steeper, hollower days and barrels.
These boards suit intermediate to advanced surfers who want a responsive, quick-turning ride, though volume can be dialled up on any model so improvers can size into them. They come alive in punchy Cornish beach breaks and steep, clean walls, and have been tested everywhere from our home breaks around St Agnes to the slabs and reefs of Ireland, Indonesia, Australia and Hawaii. Every shortboard is hand-shaped to order at our Cornwall factory over 4–6 weeks, with Futures boxes or FCS, and finishes from clear gloss to airbrush or resin tints.
