An all-round good wave and travel shortboard, this twin-fin is smooth and predictable right through the range of surf from chest-high to well overhead.

A smaller version of our popular high performance Otter twin fin, without the channels, the Channel-less Otter is designed for good waves with top-to-bottom surfing in mind.

Head shaper Markie Lascelles kept the pronounced performance rocker line and up-front paddle volume, but pulled in the tail pod slightly and adjusted the fin positioning to create directional stability and hold in place of the Otter’s four channels. This results in a surfboard that can fly down the line, turn hard off the bottom, and release off the top. Where the Otter was designed for optimum performance in fast, barrelling, waves, its offspring here targets waves with more walls and open sections than barrels, where you require maneuverability and predictable release rather than straight-line speed and hold.

Exhaustively tested and approved by Markie and Cord team riders Noah Lane, Conor Maguire  and Alex Libby across Indonesia and beyond over the last two years, The Channel-less Otter has proved a popular travel companion for our team riders, as well as being a board that they reach for at home when the waves get good.
